Excellent set for the money
Very nicely carved pieces - they feel very good to play with. The wood used is beautiful. The box is ideal for a compact travelling set. Only caveat is that the board surface looks a bit "veneered" which it is. Can't fault on presentation and manufacture though. I f you want a set that feels and looks beautiful, you can store easily and take anywhere, for a very reasonable price, this is it.

Beautiful Chess Set
I recently bought this chess set as a Xmas present. The set was shipped very quickly and packaged appropriately so as to avoid any damage during shipping. I have to say that I am not an expert on chess sets but I am quite pleased with the quality of this particular set. The foldable board looks great and on inspection I can tell it was produced with great care, perhaps hand crafted? The chess pieces also look nice and feel nice when handled. The pieces sit nicely and snug inside the foam cut outs. I would have liked the pieces to feel a bit heavier. The king is nice and heavy but not so much the other pieces. Overall, I am quite pleased with this set, and I think that $150 AUD is a reasonable price for the good quality of the set.
